Step Back to Go Forward

Sometimes you have to step back to go forward.  Or at least I do.  I was losing my enjoyment of doing what I do, so I took a few steps back and went back to the reason I do this--my stories.  I designed some of the things swirling in my head.  I worked on some of my lingering projects.  I published important stories.  It was refreshing, rejuvenating.  I helped clients on a few special projects when they asked me.  I answered questions when you called or emailed with them.  But, by and large, I stepped back from the professional side of HM and just did what I love.  And it was refreshing and rejuvenating.  I enjoyed it.  And I still enjoy helping others do this.  I love teaching them tricks to make it quicker and more exciting.  But I need to not lose sight of my own stories...it's the real reason I love this.  I hope I'm publishing when I'm 80--and I'll be doing it along side any of you who want to hang out that long--LOL!
