Crops/Classes/Workshops/Demos: What's the Difference?

On the left you'll see a link to a Crops and Classes page.  I add and delete the crops and classes as I plan them and as the dates pass by.  I like to think of them as fun activities that you can come to get time working on your projects and learning new design skills.  There are also Workshops and Demos that I do for clients where the host earns free publishing dollars--YAY!!!  Here's a brief description of each:

Crops or Digi-Crops
These are simply times I set aside to get together with clients or new contacts to help them get to know the Studio, learn how to do things they want to do in their projects and give them a time and place to come work on their projects.  Sometimes we are all working on our current projects (myself included) and sometimes I am working one on one with different people or answering questions.  It's an informal get together usually at a Wi-Fi spot in town.  I try to schedule crops in different areas where I have clients located.

Classes
Classes are get togethers that are usually centered around a certain skill or design set.  Most of the time a beginner can handle my classes because I always try to teach the basics behind the design or skill so that it's easier to remember.  Classes I've done include: Creating a Swatchbook and Creating Decorative Tiles.  I've also set up Cookbook Classes and Publishing Clubs.  If there is a particular topic you'd like a class on, let me know!

Studio Demos:
Demos are where I meet with a client and a couple of their friends at a local Wi-Fi spot and show them how the Studio software works.  It's an appointment made based the the schedule of the client hosting it and the purpose is to show the basics of Studio and our products.  I bring a few samples with me and give clients a first hand look at the actual Studio.  I take orders and the host can earn free publishing based on the sales of the demo.

Workshops:
Workshops are classes that a client schedules and hosts at their home (or another spot if they have one) where they invite their friends and family to hear about Heritage Makers.  I come with all my samples to show and we discuss all the possibilities!   If the host desires it, I do a demo of Studio and then I take orders.  The host earns free publishing based on the sales at her workshop.  Sometimes a host will choose a theme class to host--like the classes listed above.

I hope this helps clarify a few of the many options I offer as your Heritage Makers consultant!!
